Now Playing at Portland Center Stage

Have you ever played the game “The Oregon Trail”? Came out in 1995 on a CD-ROM!!! Now in its 5th edition, “The Oregon Trail” has allowed us to be a carpenter, a farmer, a banker, a housewife (yes they had them back in the old days of 1848!). Now, The Trail arrives to Portland Center Stage.

The “Then” and Now” of The Oregon Trail

This is a completely fresh retelling of our history with two Janes riding the Oregon Trail in a “then” and “now” funny and unexpected way. Leif Norby, the omnipotent VOICE of The Oregon Trail (a “judgy game show narrator, as PCS describes him)  goes behind the scenes with us, and reveals the brilliance with which playwright Bekah Brunstetter has imbued this staged journey.

Enjoy the video below, and our entire conversation with Leif Norby below the video, as well.
