Portland Center Stage at The Armory: Home for the Holidays

Grab those Holidaze while you can. Actor Darius Pierce, famed for several seasons of The Santaland Diaries, is back this year in The Second City’s A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens. Lots of improv and hijinx and, oh, shenanigans, ensue.

So many different characters emerge from this cast of 7. A perfect time to indulge in being with each other, Darius encourages us. Welcoming strangers and friends into our worlds. Be it on the street, nodding to passersby. At a store, in line at check out and chatting up your neighbor. At home with friends. Or sitting at the theatre with a great group of strangers enjoying the same experience.

Robert Parish sat down to speak with Darius Pierce. Improv isn’t his entire time in the world of theatre. But in this show, there’s plenty of improv fun. Catch the video for an inside look at the show. Darius also shares insights in a complete and unedited conversation with Robert. Ticket and show details follow.

A complete send-up of the holiday classic, this adult comedy is adorned with the improvisational genius of the legendary comedy troupe The Second City. Twist includes zany holiday sketches and uproarious improv based on audience participation — it’s never the same show twice!
